How we started...
We absolutely LOVE our Miniature Australian Shepherds! Our family researched different breeds of dogs several years ago, trying to find the perfect dog for our family. We were looking for an intelligent dog that would do well around little children - a dog that would be active outdoors and playful, yet at the same time calm and content in the house. After much research, we found out about Mini Aussies. We immediately knew this was the breed of dog for us! Much like the standard Aussies, the Mini Aussies are very loyal, and their natural herding instinct makes them want to protect their family. Mini Aussies are intelligent dogs that are easily house broken and trained. Like the standard Aussies, the Mini Aussies love running and playing in the outdoors. However, when inside, they have a calm disposition. It is like having a large dog in a "small package."
Our family lives on a peach orchard, and our dogs have lots of room to run! We do know, however, that these little aussies are content in smaller settings as well. Given lots of attention and some time to run and play during the day, they thrive as a family pet. Our adult Mini Aussies are our pets. We love them all and carefully assist with the arrival of each new litter of puppies. The safety of all of our aussies is our number one concern. Our puppies are well cared for and loved from birth.
